Eggnog Coffee Punch is a festive holiday treat

Eggnog Coffee Punch is a festive holiday treat that blends creamy eggnog with bold coffee or espresso shot, ice cream, a touch of rum (optional), and warming spices. Imagine silky eggnog swirled with rich coffee, a hint of rum’s warmth, and cinnamon’s comforting aroma. It’s perfect for brunch, dessert, or cozy gatherings, adding a joyful boost to the season’s celebrations.

Servings: 5

  • 1 1/2 cups coffee ice cream
  • 1 1/2 cups eggnog

  • or 3 shots of espresso, then ½ cup of hot water is needed
  • 4 tablespoons frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 4 pinches ground nutmeg or cinnamon (optional)

  1. Scoop the ice cream into a pan over low heat.
  2. Stir in the eggnog and coffee; and heat until warm, about 3 minutes.
  3. Pour into 5 glass or ceramic mugs.
  4. Top each with 1 tablespoon whipped topping and sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.
  5. Serve immediately.

Tips For Eggnog Coffee Punch

Flavor:

  • Coffee choice: Use freshly brewed coffee for the best flavor. Cold brew or a strong espresso can add extra depth.
  • Spices: Go beyond rum for extra wintery vibes. Try adding a splash of Baileys, bourbon, or almond liqueur. Experiment with spices like cardamom, cloves, or ginger for a personalized touch.
  • Sweetness: Adjust the sweetness based on your preference. Some eggnogs are already quite sweet, so consider skipping the added sugar or using brown sugar for a richer flavor.

Texture:

  • Creaminess: For a lighter punch, use low-fat eggnog or substitute some coffee ice cream. For a rich, decadent experience, blend in frozen vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream.
  • Ice: Freeze small coffee ice cubes or berries for a festive touch that won’t dilute the punch as quickly.
  • Presentation: Garnish with flair – Top each glass with whipped cream, a sprinkle of nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, chocolate shavings, or even mini gingerbread cookies.
  • Ice ring wow: Freeze coffee and water in a bundt pan for a stunning ice ring that slowly melts and infuses the punch with extra coffee flavor.
  • Make two batches – one spiked for adults and one non-alcoholic for guests of all ages.

Enjoy your delicious and festive eggnog coffee punch!
